Why am I implementing TUF in C++?

The answer is - I just realized the incredible things that C++ is capable of doing. While having one of the most mature tooling and the most brilliant minds in software in C++, why not TUF (The Update Framework) be implemented in C++. I am genuinly impressed by C++ and I would love to implement TUF in it!!!!!

I give my summer of 2026 towards doing this. Last year I was improving RSTUF in Python, this year I want to do something from scratch.

I hope everything goes well as planned, and we all can have TUF implementation in C++!!!!
